The South Asian Youth Leaders’ Summit 2012 will be the first of its kind to be held in this region. SAYLS aims to create a united South Asian platform andbuild a strong regional partnershipamong the U.S. state alumni and potential future leaders of the region to address the challenges ahead of South Asia in terms of socio-economic and socio-political perspectives and come up with ideas, mechanisms and innovative solutions for building a prosperous South Asia.

The summit will be held under the US State Department Alumni awarded AEIF project titled ‘Uniting Youth Leaders of Today and Tomorrow to Build Better South Asia’. The theme of the project is ‘Building Prosperity and theme of the summit is ‘Social Business’ in the aspects of Economic Opportunity and Prosperity, Women Empowerment, Promoting a Better Environment and Outreach towards  Marginalized Communities. The US Embassy Dhaka and the American Center will monitor the entire project.  North South University, Dhaka is the Venue and Academic partner.
